Sidewalk Specials took in a homeless puppy who was standing over her deceased sibling’s body on the side of a major road. After speaking with a local, they discovered that this was the mother dog’s third undesired litter, and all of her puppies had died – except for Alida.
Alida was taken back to the hospital right away for adequate care and medication, so she wouldn’t die like the other puppies. Sadly, this is the reality of unrestricted breeding in South African villages without access to veterinary treatment.
Alida, on the other hand, was joyful, healthy, and in her own permanent home just one month later! Sidewalk Specials not only found and spayed the mother dog but also provided her with the required immunizations and a warm kennel to live in. Incredible!
