A wounded dog with a cone was discovered roaming the woods 300 miles away from the house… Here is what happened…

A shocking find was found by two women horseback riding in the Jackson State Forest in Mendocino County, California. Davina Liberty and Sarah Grimes noticed a dog hobbling and wearing a cone over his neck in the distance.

The good Samaritans attempted to intervene, but the dog growled at everybody who attempted to catch him. Liberty was finally able to secure the gravely damaged dog, after which she requested assistance.

Thunder the Wonder Dog was treated by a veterinarian and had surgery. He received multiple injuries after being attacked by a wild animal. The most intriguing aspect of the case is how the dog arrived at the place and what his backstory was.

A scan of the microchip was successful, however, the data had not been updated since 2015. Thunder’s owners were found after a Facebook page dedicated to him became popular.

The dog was signed over to the humane organization, and the inquiry is still ongoing. In the meantime, folks are keeping an eye on Thunder’s recuperation so that he can be adopted.
