Stray dogs face a variety of trials and difficulties. Being hit by a car is one of the worst things that could happen to a street dog.
In many circumstances, it can be fatal, but it can also cause awful and terrible damage. One dog found herself in a bad situation after being hit by a car.
Mia, the dog, was thought to have been hit by a drowsy driver while walking down the street. She received a significant leg injury as a result of this.
Due to a dangling leg, the unhappy dog was unable to walk normally. Due to a leg injury, Mia was forced to crawl for nearly a week in search of food — all while pregnant!
In her current circumstances, things were not looking well for her. Thankfully, Mia wasn’t sentenced to live on the streets for the rest of her life. Someone requested assistance, and Alina arrived to help Mia.
She was able to transport the dog to safety, where doctors examined her. It was also there that they found out Mia was expecting her first child. They realized that getting Mia back to health so she could care for her pups would be a race against time.
Mia’s wounds included a fractured foot and a squashed and dislocated ankle, so she wouldn’t be able to walk again for a long time. Her injuries necessitated surgery.
Mia made it through with the support of her surgeon, and her pups were born just in time.
The mother dog immediately recovered and was able to use both of her front legs. We’re relieved to know that the story of this small family has a happy ending.
