Being a stray animal is never easy, especially when the weather turns bad and they have nowhere to go to escape the elements. When it rains or snows, have you ever wondered where they go?
A thunderstorm chased away the small dog in this story, who had been living in a sewage tunnel with another dog. He was abandoned, alone and terrified.
Thankfully, his terrible position was brought to the attention of Hope For Paws. Eldad Hagar, the organization’s founder, got on the road right away to save the poor dog from the hazardous river. Eldad swiftly located the distressed puppy in the dark with the help of Rescue From The Hart’s founder Annie Hart.
Eldad and Annie, on the other hand, did not have it easy. When the terrified dog saw them approaching, he dashed back into the tunnel. He continued to run deeper and deeper until he came to a halt.
Eldad had a difficult time chasing the dog, presumably because he was always on high alert due to the difficult days on the streets. Eldad attempted to restrain the poor child, but he managed to get away with it. His reaction, on the other hand, might crush anyone’s heart.
That’s when Eldad made the decision to take things slowly. He approached the dog hiding behind a chair, softly patted him, and reassured him with all the nice phrases he could think of. This man is an incredible dog whisperer.
He stated, “Let’s go home.”
The dog eventually calmed down. This time, Eldad could easily take him out. Annie met them and had a green towel ready to assist the small dog in cleaning his paws. Eldad seemed to trust Annie in an instant after his effort. These caring individuals must warm the heart of the homeless dog.
