Oreo, a Pit Bull-Dachshund mix, had been dumped and had spent some time on the streets. Oreo didn’t want to be rescued, so a local man fed her and kept an eye on her. When the man saw Oreo with her one and only puppy, Cookie Monster, he realized he needed to call for help.
The rescuers arrive on the freeway in this video to save Oreo and Cookie Monster. As Cookie Monster darts into the crowded streets, the savior grabs him with a net and pulls him out of danger. Oreo, on the other side, is not pleased to see her baby trapped in the hands of a human. The rescuers decided to call for backup as the mama dog began to protest.
The rescuers enlist the assistance of the man who had been feeding Oreo all along. When Oreo recognizes him, she rushes up to him and begs him to save her baby.
The man reassures her that Cookie Monster is secure with the new humans and calms her down. Finally, the rescuers allow Oreo to kiss her puppy in order to persuade her that they genuinely care!
Oreo and Cookie Monster follow the rescuers to the shelter in the hopes of a better life. They were relocated to a foster home after their medical check-ups, where they were accustomed to a comfortable existence as adored, pampered pets!
The mother-son combo has been happily adopted into an excellent home and nicknamed Lady and Reptar, according to the shelter. They also enjoy trotting around their neighborhood with big smiles, and their “lethal” attractiveness has earned them the title of “traffic-stopper”!
