After forty days with no water or food, a frightened dog made it…

We were on our way to Gostomel, a little town near Kyiv that had been obliterated by the war.

We have three tons of dog and cat food that the owners were unable to transport during the evacuation. There are hundreds of creatures like that; some died from malnutrition, some from explosions, and yet others were just shot.

However, many animals survived and are now protecting their wrecked homes and yards, waiting for their owners to return. Most dogs are afraid of people and will not approach them…we leave as much food as possible in each yard for them to eat for several days.

We discover a dog near a broken window and noisily calling for help, he is so frightened and even bites a couple of times, there are several houses in this city that have remained in place most of the buildings have been destroyed.

We were shocked… most likely, breeders resided here, making money by selling these puppies, then fleeing after euthanizing or poisoning their dogs when the conflict broke out…

We must notify the police, and after they have inspected the premises, we can return and seize the remaining pets.

He is extremely fortunate since he is one of the few survivors of that tragedy. We’re glad we were able to assist him.
