Saint, a Pit Bull, was on the verge of death when he was discovered living in a homeless camp. Multiple parasites were ravaging his malnourished body, and he had grown tired of dealing with the excruciating discomfort every day. He desperately wanted his pain to stop, therefore he refused to do anything that might keep him alive.
Saint’s anguish was discovered by a woman named Heather, and it broke her heart. She felt so sorry for the poor puppy that she decided to adopt him as a hospice dog. The plan was to make him feel loved and at ease in his final days, but Heather was taken aback when Saint flatly refused to eat.
Saint had become completely shut down as a result of his long and difficult life, and all he wanted to do was give up. As he began to lose his vitality, he didn’t care if he was petted or if he interacted with his caregivers. Heather did everything she could to make him know he cared, even when he couldn’t stand on his own – and that changed everything!
Heather’s tireless efforts to cheer up Saint tugged at his heartstrings, so he decided to fight for her! He started eating and eventually reconnected with the outside world. His health recovered slowly but steadily, and he regained his zest for life!
Saint chose to embrace the present and prosper with his new family, despite the prior obligations that dragged him down. He began to anticipate those freeing car journeys, beach visits, and playdates.
Given that he was at his lowest point at the start of this movie, it’s a real treat to watch him demand affection near the end! Saint is a true survivor and advocate of the underdog!
