Our hearts hurt for any dog who has been dumped, but there are those dogs who are regularly abandoned, mistreated, and possibly abused.
That was the case with Daenerys, who was abandoned in an apartment that had previously belonged to her previous owner.
No one really knows how long she was left in the flat, but she was just 25 pounds when she was discovered. Thankfully, someone had come to change the locks and had informed a foster pet mother of her whereabouts. Tara is Daenerys’ new foster human mom, and she has given the pit bull a fresh start.
When she was rescued, she was in poor health, but she has since healed and is now a loving, active, and healthy dog. Tara claimed she had never hissed or been afraid before. All she wanted was to be scratched.
Nobody knows exactly how old Daenerys is, but she is believed to be around seven years old. It’s a drop in the bucket for a dog this healthy and living in such a wonderful environment, so hopefully, it’s just a small part of her joyful life.
After we published Daenerys’ story, she got a loving forever home with her new mommy. They’re having a blast together and have no intention of breaking up anytime soon.
Daenerys is her new mama’s name, although she prefers to be addressed as Miss D. Miss D has an Instagram account that you can follow.
