After a vehicle accident in Nashville, a Tennessee family was horrified when their 200-pound Irish Wolfhound went missing.
The back windows of their Expedition smashed after a minivan collided with it, ejecting their dog Fergus from the vehicle. The family looked everywhere for him but couldn’t find him.
More than 1,400 people joined a Facebook group named “Find Fergus” to help find Fergus and reunite him with his frightened family.
Fergus was seen limping throughout the area, but nobody was able to locate him.
Fergus was discovered around half a mile from the accident site, according to his family. After she called for him, he walked directly into a homeowner’s home.
In an emotional video uploaded on Facebook, the family went to the residence and reunited with Fergus.
As his weeping owner stretched out her arms to welcome him back, he wagged his tail.
Fergus is well, except for minor cuts and bruises, and is anticipated to make a full recovery.
The family appreciates the community’s assistance and is overjoyed to have their furry best buddy back at home with them.
