Before being rescued, a 14-year-old dog spent 6 weeks alone on top of a hill.
The pet’s family members made it across the side of Mount Bross in Colorado, while Chole, the younger pet she went away with, did not. The family looked in every direction but came up empty-handed.
This is the point in the story when a complete stranger appears. Someone had listened to a pet dog grieving on Mount Bross, according to Trinity Smith, who saw the post on the mountaineering/hiking organization 14ers’ Facebook page.
The lady was committed to learning more, so she followed the canine up the hill.
Despite the fact that the woman realized she had just heard the dogs barking and had not seen them, she needed help to save the dog.
Trinity and her partner Sean Nichols decided to hike the hill again in the morning, this time spending four hours calling the dog. They wouldn’t give up, and after climbing much higher, they heard a faint bark.
Trinity told CBS News, “I started handing over, believing she wouldn’t make it through the evening.” “Then I heard that faint bark, and my adrenaline began to rush once again.”
Chloe was sick and scared when they eventually found her.
The group exclaims, “We got her!!!!” Trinity wrote a Facebook post after they discovered her. “After hours and hours of screaming and climbing, Sean Nichols and I eventually got this wonderful, terrified, hungry woman down to security.” The poor kid was stranded on the roof for nearly a month. After returning down with her, Chloe’s owners waited patiently to check if this was their dog, who had been missing for six weeks and had escaped with some other neighborhood dog. After a month of browsing, they assumed their 13-year-old child was gone for good.”
“After reports of a pet dog sobbing and two days of rushing beside a 14er, we eventually carried this nice infant straight to security,” she added. “For more than a month, this unfortunate critter has been stuck on a cliff.” She used to be a 90-pound dog, but now she just weighs 26 pounds. We’re relieved to have her back with her owners now that she’s down from the mountain!”
Chloe’s owner told 9NEWS that their dog is recovering but will need more time to recover from this terrifying incident.
