When Fred, Ricky, and Ethel’s loving owner died unexpectedly, the dogs lost their home as well. Rather than being placed in a shelter, the three were dumped on the street like garbage.
The dogs didn’t know how to survive on their own, so they hung around the house for 18 months, waiting for their owner to return.
When the rescue group “Hope For Paws” learned of the pups’ condition, they jumped at the chance to help. When they arrived in the area, they were heartbroken to see the once spoiled canines living on the streets like paupers.
Fred was desperately loitering about his old house. Since he didn’t want to leave, he fought back against the rescuers. When he saw that the rescuers were there to help him, the poor animal gradually gave in.
Ricky and Ethel were later discovered nearby, dejectedly foraging for food. They were also rescued after a long effort! For the first time in almost a year, the three were escorted to the shelter, where they were able to relax on a couch.
They’ve all been placed in foster care at this point. They clutch each other closely, tears in their eyes, as they begin to hope for a brighter life once more. They are currently on the lookout for their forever homes. Help them get adopted by spreading the word.
