Ping An, a golden retriever, lived with her caring family in Qidong, Jiangsu, China. She relished every moment she spent with her owners.
However, when her owners began renovating their home, they decided to temporarily relocate the dog to a friend’s home until the renovations were completed.
They drove two hours to a friend’s house and entrusted their beloved puppy to their care. They left after saying their goodbyes to Ping An. However, the poor dog couldn’t feel at ease because she sorely missed her owners and her own home.
Soon, the dog’s homesickness became too much for him to bear, and he bolted. She had walked nearly 62 miles and was quite tired and hungry. Fortunately, the bleeding dog was discovered by nice strangers who tracked down the dog’s true owners. They got in touch and Ping An was restored to her beloved owners. They admitted that it was a terrible decision and that they would never abandon their beloved canine companion again.
