When Randy Etter’s Gemini dog became drowsy and began to follow him, he felt there was something wrong with him.
Etter became concerned for his puppy’s safety when Gemini began vomiting.
Etter rushed Gemini to the vet, but the source of Gemini’s discomfort was impossible to pinpoint.
Etter had no intention of giving up since the vet couldn’t figure out what was wrong with the Gemini. The Gemini was one of his closest friends, and he would go to any length to assist him.
Etter was so fixated on finding a vet who could treat Gemini that he later lost his job as a result of frantically visiting veterinarian after veterinarian.
Despite several visits from veterinarians, no one could tell Etter what was wrong with his adorable pet.
“It simply looked like there was no way I was going to go anywhere or get him the treatment he needed in time.” It was one of the most terrifying experiences I’d ever had.” The Dodo was informed by Etter.
However, the source of the Gemini’s discomfort was eventually discovered: a little object was implanted in his bowels.
Etter’s girlfriend’s baby child had thrown her bottle at the dog as a game.
When the baby threw the bottle to the puppy, Etter took care to swiftly remove it, but Gemini apparently obtained access to the bottle without Ether’s awareness and swallowed a small portion of the top.
The blockage caused by that piece of bottle necessitated surgery for the Gemini.
The operation cost $ 4,500, which was significantly more than Etter had at the time.
Etter, on the other hand, was not about to let his best friend die. Etter wrote a touching Facebook post in which he described his circumstances and offered his automobile for sale.
He hoped that the money from the sale of his car would allow him to save the puppy he adored and that someone would be willing to acquire it.
Etter, on the other hand, did not have to sell his car as a result of a lovely act of human generosity…
Etters friend first came in and offered him a loan of $2,000. The S.O.A.R Initiative (whose “focus is on preserving the human-animal bond and enhancing access to veterinary care and human services for individuals who are often underserved”) then helped Gemini raise $3000 for surgery.
Geminin underwent the procedure without incident and was soon back in his lovely house.
Gemini’s life was preserved because of the kindness and generosity of everybody who donated money to treat him, and Etter did not lose the dog he adores.
