Two San Jose cops braved the pouring rains to save Mr. Snuggles, a small puppy who was being savagely assaulted by two huge stray canines.
The cops were able to fend off the vicious dogs after many battles, but Mr. Snuggles had already passed out from his injuries. Due to biting wounds, his stomach was totally split open, and dirt and debris were flowing into his intestines.
When he was transported to the vet at the local shelter, the dying dog had no pulse in his lower body. As she checked the rain-soaked baby’s wounds, the vet applied heating pads to him. Mr. Snuggles suffered a severe abdominal hernia, an avulsed tooth, and several other contusions, according to the doctors. He was in excruciating suffering, and it seemed only fair to put him down.
Despite the odds, the vet put together a team to treat Mr. Snuggles’ numerous injuries. She treated the dog with strong antibiotics after treating the internal organ damage to keep the wounds from becoming infected. However, his left hind limb remained immobile, indicating that it would have to be amputated in the future.
Mr. Snuggles didn’t appear to have a chance, yet he stunned everyone with his miraculous comeback! The tiny fighter even managed to reclaim his left leg by pure effort! The vet not only postponed his amputation but also contacted a rescue organization to find him the finest foster home for his recovery.
