Heartbreaking photos taken on a sidewalk near the Yangtze Bridge in Wuhan, China, have gone viral, showing a devoted dog waiting for its owners for days after they committed suicide by jumping into the water.
The dog was discovered by Xu, a Chinese citizen, who posted images of it online in the hopes of being able to adopt it, but it managed to flee.
Du Fan, the director of the Wuhan Small Animal Protection Association, is actively searching for the dog with the help of his volunteers in the hopes of finding it soon.
He also pleaded with anyone who sees the dog contact them.
