Bowie was adopted from a shelter as a pet in 2014, but he came back to his family. Bowie was adopted from Gateway Pet Guardians, an East Saint Louis, Illinois-based shelter, after he was first born in 2014. After a few years, he was tragically returned to the shelter.
He was fortunate enough to be placed with a family after only a few months at the shelter rather than living there. However, nobody really wanted him when it came time to locate a permanent home.
After 1,250 days, Bowie had still not been adopted. Days passed into months, and months turned into years. Bowie could be a nice and well-behaved dog. The rescue decided to offer Bowie’s adopter four free personal training sessions and an educated image because his adoption money had already been paid.
The Gateway Pet Guardians were adamant about sharing Bowie’s story on social media in the hopes of catching the attention of anyone who could save him. Their advertisement was successful, and they received 40 applications from people interested in working with Bowie. They thoroughly examined each one in order to locate the ideal living situation for him.
They met with a female they believed would be a good match, and he or she adopted Bowie the previous weekend!
