Every dog is an excellent dog. They are entitled to a happy family. Some are abandoned by those who adopt them because they haven’t found a home yet. These folks abandon their dogs somewhere and may or may not leave messages. They’ve finished dispatching their furry companions. They have to do it for some reason, but it’s not always clear why.
In today’s story, the lab-mix puppy is an example. The unfortunate little puppy was discovered abandoned in the area, with the word “FREE” scribbled in black permanent marker on her fur. She has a tragic backstory.
The sad pup was abandoned in Yoctangee Park ahead of the Feast of the Flowering Moon Festival, which occurs during Memorial Day weekend, as per Sarah Cantrell, office manager and adoption manager at the Ross County Humane Society in Chillicothe, Ohio.
That wasn’t the end of it. The words “FREE DOG” were clumsily written in permanent marker on the poor pup’s body. It was terrible that they left the dog to fend for himself.
