Texas was chilly towards the end of February. Carly Henry owns and operates an animal refuge.
Because of the severe snowfall, the woman decided to bring her animals inside. When the hurricane hit, the power went off.
Carly got the reptiles and the babies to come to her residence. She managed to get some of the animals onto her roof with the help of others.
Carly felt great after returning home with all of the animals. The animals had warmed up and were no longer bothering each other near the fire.
There were giant tortoises, a frog, a leopard, chameleons, dogs, and other animals present. The woman’s neighbors backed her up and provided food for the animals.
She could only take the animals to enclosures in the spring. The woman and her family are grateful to their neighbors for assisting them through a tough time. The neighbors and the woman are still in contact, and their friendship has grown stronger.
