“Be kind to the dog,” he wrote on a note tied to his old canine in a public restroom.
Ladybird, a nine-year-old black Labrador, was discovered attached to a public restroom in Louisiana’s Destrehan Splash Park.
She was carrying food and water, as well as a message that read, “Be nice 2 dog – got caught without a car – be back soon – give my dog little water – be back in the morning.”
Because the contents of the note were incomprehensible, local animal control thought the Ladybug had been dumped and dutifully transferred her to St. John Parish Animal Shelter. Charles.
The next morning, they received a call from the dog’s true owner, who had indeed bicycled to the park to rescue Ladybird!
The guy was guided to the rescue by animal control, and the staff ultimately learned about his tragic tale.
He revealed that he rescued Ladybird when she was 6 weeks old in a heartfelt conversation. The two had spent the last nine years traveling around the country as adventures.
However, he recently faced difficulties, and things began to go wrong.
Ladybird was left in a public restroom to seek help because her owner was temporarily homeless and carless.
He intended to move to North Carolina with his dog, where he would have family who could assist him in getting back on his feet.
He was still detained in Louisiana, though, due to a lack of transportation.
The staff could see this person was concerned about Ladybird and didn’t want her to suffer in her later years.
They decided to assist him in transporting Ladybird to his family’s home in North Carolina after much deliberation.
The nicest part was that numerous other rescues volunteered to assist, including “Turning Rescues into Pets,” “GreaterGood,” and “Wings Of Rescue.”
Watch this video all the way to the finish to see how those incredible rescues made Ladybird’s happy ending possible.
These rescues aided Ladybird and her father in the most caring and nonjudgmental way possible – and that’s just lovely!
