Two bonded canines, Buster the Boxer and Little Miss the Chihuahua, were struggling on the streets of Arizona. When the rescuers discovered the malnourished, destitute couple, they were urgently clinging to one another. They wouldn’t let go of each other though, even after being taken to a shelter!
The Maricopa County Animal Care and Control staff quickly determined that Little Miss and Buster were dependent on one another to survive. They were aware that there was a very low probability that two dogs would be adopted together, though. At that point, they started attempting to connect with the neighborhood via social media.
Little Miss was adorable spotted perched on Buster’s back while the two posed for the camera in a series of photos shared on the shelter’s social media. The shelter hoped that one of the two best friends would win someone over, but they never imagined that their tale would go global online!
The shelter eventually utilized a fortunate draw to select a California family as Buster and Little Miss’ new parents due to an abundance of adoption applications. The pair are now living a new life as Charlie and Libby, and they even have a new canine sibling to play with! We are overjoyed that they have a home together at last!
