A stray dog named Chicken was spotted wandering the streets by himself and in terrible condition.
In addition to being sick, he also had mange, which had caused all of his hair to fall out and scabs to form all over his body.
Thankfully, Sidewalk Specials saved him and immediately took him to their veterinarian for the necessary medical care. After repeated treatments and medicated baths, his skin began to improve and his hair started to grow again.
Today, Chicken seems to be a totally different dog! He has just served to underline the proverb “don’t judge a book by its cover.”
Chicken is now protected, safe, and most importantly, happy!
He was even adopted into a lovely, loving home where he has his own cozy bed and is showered with toys.
Although Chicken was raised on the streets, he already knows all of his fundamental commands and is quickly picking up canine behavior.
Even the new kitten he adopted gets along with him!
