Rescue & RemEMBER’s Stacey Pettit one day discovered a dog who was living in appalling conditions. The poor canine had spent the last six years confined to a small crate.
There was another one just next to the dog. Angelica and Spud were their names. Knine Rescue Inc.’s Amy Crels was unable to control her tears when they were brought to the shelter.
The woman and other guests at the shelter were extremely alarmed by their offensive odor. However, they gave the dogs a lot of love, and soon their appearance improved. Spud, who was less tall than Angelica, was eventually adopted.
However, Angelica found the adoption to be more challenging. Amy drove her somewhere one day. The poor puppy had spent a very long period in a crate, so she was really anxious. But Amy made every effort to improve the dog’s condition. She was taken outside, where another dog was playing with her.
Even a hamburger was purchased for her. Angelica discovered her eventual owners there. Amy was questioned about the dog by gracious visitors. The dog soon had a cozy and permanent home after they adopted her.
