A girl named Oxana was born in 1983 into a large dysfunctional family. Despite the challenging family environment, she was born without any physical or mental deviations, suggesting that, with proper care and parental love, she could have thrived. Unfortunately, Oxana did not receive these essential elements from her parents.
When she was three years old, her parents simply abandoned her on the streets. Left to fend for herself, the young girl sought refuge in a dog’s kennel, where she clung to the animal for warmth and comfort. Although she attempted to return home, her father forced her back onto the streets. With no other options, Oxana returned to the kennel, finding solace with a dog named Naida.
For the next five years, Oxana lived alongside Naida in the same kennel. During this time, she adopted many dog-like behaviors, including crawling on all fours, scratching like a dog, barking, and even catching fleas. This unique and heartbreaking situation caught the attention of child protective services.
Officials from the guardianship authorities were appalled by what they discovered. Consequently, Oxana’s parents were stripped of their parental rights, and the young girl was placed in a boarding school.
This marked the beginning of a new chapter in Oxana’s life. Adapting to her new environment was a lengthy process. She had to relearn basic skills such as using utensils, brushing her teeth, washing her face, sleeping in a bed instead of on the floor, and even speaking, although she had basic communication skills.
It is presumed that she had minimal contact with people, but no one had reported her situation to the authorities.
Oxana remained in the boarding school until she reached adulthood. She lagged behind her peers in terms of development, and her dog-like behaviors were deeply ingrained, leading to occasional outbursts where she would howl and bite.
After leaving the boarding school, Oxana briefly considered reuniting with her family but ultimately decided to remain in the institution, where she cared for horses and cows.
To this day, at the age of 35, Oxana continues to live in the boarding school, and her life has significantly improved. She even has a fiancé. Despite their desire to marry, their plans were thwarted due to concerns about Oxana’s capacity.
