Misconceptions about Rottweilers being aggressive are prevalent, but in reality, they can be gentle heroes. Recently, a Rottweiler family came to the rescue of a lost elderly woman.
On a cold January night, David and his nephew Jack took their four Rottweilers – Billy, May, Gerald, and Tillie – for a walk. David had to walk his dogs at night due to unfriendly neighbors.
Around 1 AM, near a school playing field with fortunately open gates, the dogs suddenly stopped by some bushes and started barking until David approached.
The dogs had discovered something amiss. David and Jack found an elderly, disoriented woman sitting there, shivering. She appeared to have been lost for over 15 hours and was suffering from the cold.
One of the female dogs began licking her and refused to leave the side of the old woman until David arrived.
Luckily, the woman was found by the dogs; otherwise, her situation could have been much worse, and she might not have survived without their rescue.
David called an ambulance, and the injured woman was taken to the hospital. Later, he learned that she had disembarked from the bus at the wrong stop and became lost.
Thanks to these heroic Rottweilers, she will hopefully recover quickly and enjoy a safe and peaceful life.
